Corrections policy
Request a correction
Send the article URL, the detail you believe is wrong, the proposed correction and supporting source material through the newsroom form. Include a way to reply. Your submission is private and is not automatically published.
Material errors and updates
A material correction should state what was wrong and what is correct, in a notice attached to the original article. A clarification explains an ambiguity; an update adds substantive new information. These notices retain the original publication date and identify the time of the editorial change.
Article history
Headlines and routine technical changes must not create a new article URL or make old reporting appear newly published. Internal drafts and source notes remain private. Duplicate URLs may redirect to the original article.
Escalating a concern
If you have additional evidence or believe a response has missed the issue, use the same newsroom contact route and include the earlier request and article URL.
