Longtime Good Morning America co-anchors Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos were honored together with a rare double star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026, celebrating their 17-year partnership at the anchor desk.
Double Star Unveiled at 6290 Hollywood Boulevard
According to coverage by ABC7 News, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce unveiled the twin Television category stars at 6290 Hollywood Boulevard, steps from the historic El Capitan Theatre. Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez noted that joint ceremonies unveiling two stars on a single plaque are reserved for enduring creative and broadcast duos.
Roberts and Stephanopoulos have co-anchored ABC's flagship morning news broadcast since 2009. Fellow Good Morning America co-anchor Michael Strahan—who received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023—served as master of ceremonies for Thursday's event.
Tributes From Michael J. Fox, Niecy Nash-Betts, and Debra OConnell
Guest speakers paying tribute to the pair included Disney Entertainment Television chairman Debra OConnell, Emmy Award-winning actress Niecy Nash-Betts, and actor and advocate Michael J. Fox. Speaking about Stephanopoulos, Fox praised the journalist's decades of political reporting and humorously suggested nominating him for president in 2028, while Nash-Betts celebrated Roberts' warmth, resilience, and mentorship across broadcast journalism.
Roberts' wife, Amber Laign, and Stephanopoulos' wife, actress and comedian Alexandra Wentworth, joined the anchors on Hollywood Boulevard for the unveiling.
